New 2017 Nissan Frontier at Reedman-Toll Nissan for Bethesda, MD

The 2017 Nissan Frontier is a reliable work truck as well as a capable off-roader, which makes the Frontier successful in achieving its goal: 'To Be A Great Truck'. A new S Work Truck package adds a spray-in bedliner, bed rail caps, splash guards and rubber floor mats. Base S trims now have body-colored rear bumpers instead of chrome. There are four package options total, including the one just mentioned, and these: the SV Value Truck Package, the PRO-4X Luxury Package, and the Moonroof Package. Controls, dials, toggles, and switches are easy to use-- with all this and more, why not consider the 2017 Nissan Frontier for your next vehicle?

Under the Frontier's Hood

The engine choices are a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, or a 4.0-liter 6-cylinder that works with 261 horsepower to attain 281 lb-ft of torque. Either engine works well with choice number one: a 6-speed manual or choice number two: a 5-speed automatic transmission. And correctly outfitted, 4-cylinder models could tow up to 3,500-lbs and V6 engine ones get up to 6,500-lbs. Independent double wishbones are found as the front suspension, Bilstein off-road performance shocks are available, and the rear is formed of an overslung multi-leaf arrangement.

Design of Nissan Frontier

The Frontier in 2017 provides for a crew-cab body style or an extended-cab (King) and also a 5-ft or 6.1-ft bed length. There are five models levels: S, the SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X, and the SL. It has a cargo tie-down system in the truck bed, a bed extender optional spray-in liner, and selectable lengths. Technology inside is composed of several items, like the NissanConnect touchscreen interface and Bluetooth audio, both of which are available generally on Frontier models. The S model is 2-wheel drive with 15-inch steel wheels and rear privacy glass. Select the automatic transmission to get AC, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and a 4-speaker sound system. The crew cab version for the S model sees 16-inch steel wheels, and a sliding rear window. In the SV format, keyless entry, locks and mirrors, power windows, a tilt-only steering wheel, and a 5-inch NissanConnect touchscreen shares the tech loads with Bluetooth audio. The Desert Runner adds on top of the SV feature list with high-performance shock absorbers, off-road tires and foglights, among other things. The deluxe, 18-inch alloy-wheeled SL has a sunroof for long-bed SL models (an option on short-bed SL models) and side steps. The trailer hitch and bed extender are options on the Frontier SL. The Pro-4X gets through the backcountry's worst with specially tuned shocks, off-road tires, skid plates, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlights, a locking rear differential, a first aid kit, and more! A trailer hitch and bed extender are also both available. Certain configurations listen to a 10-speaker Rockford Fosgate sounds system.
